They've been doing quite a bit of work in the past year, on Newton, the future a11y stack, Spiel, for a better pipeline for speech synthesis (basically as an easy way to get more natural-sounding voice models) and on implementing AccessKit (the most recent stable a11y stack that is the same one the folks working on COSMIC are using).

I can understand it, I almost paid for Davinci Resolve Studio due to it still being the most complete video editor that works on Linux, most of the time closed source apps function better (specially due to the biggest funding), but still, using open source whenever you can basically prevents this from ever happening (specially after Canva bought Affinity, I'd keep an eye out for the eventual enshittification)

Will an app dependent on libadwaita that be usable on linux without gnome? Like xfce, or xmonad?

of course it will, that's not the point, the point is to make apps that use libadwaita look consistent even in platforms outside of GNOME

I believe some other distros have this issue, but I'm not sure about specific ones. US laws are pretty complicated by themselves, even more when you try to understand how it affects projects from other countries that are trying to be available on US.

I can't recommend Seong's channel enough, his videos are always of such great quality

Yeah, they could do a better job by having a big button directing people to buy it at the website, but if you go to the "Buy" option in the top bar you'll find it among all of their other offerings.

I've been using a Intel + NVIDIA laptop on Wayland since day 1 and I can confidently say that, except for power management (cries in Pascal) it's pretty much a perfect experience, as you get the best of both hardware. The system runs on the Intel iGPU and benefits from Mesa while gaming, streaming and compute benefit from the power the NVIDIA card brings.

The latest episode of the Fedora Podcast (going live in about half an hour), the team will be talking with the folks from Slimbook about the new Fedora Slimbook laptop, it's a great chance to clear any doubts about it.

but my English is not fluent

that is one big barrier to entry that we should have at least some focus on trying to solve, depending on the distro you use they might have some communities that speak your language, on fedora we have a bunch of language-specific communities on our Matrix server, where people usually offer to help whenever needed
