Vico would only get votes from ncr imo he needs to go to senate first pero then again we did swear in a mayor as president and it seems like we haven't learned from it so why not

I don’t know if I have become jaded, or just got too old. It’s starting to become harder to imagine how it could be better. It’s not so bad. I still work, pay taxes, and just live.

imo like alot of us we just became pissed at how blind we are to the truth and facts and that burnout is totally justified maybe someday another will come along pero until that day comes that's all one can do hold out hope that things will be better and for the most part things are realistically better but not ideal

I don’t know how Leni would handle the issue with China. I don’t know how Leni will deal with the sinking value of the peso. Will she be able to improve education? What about the businesses that died during the pandemic? Or the movie industry? I walk around and see cinema houses a mere shadow of their former selves.

I gather na you're focusing on things that were and are out of your control if you let those thoughts consume you then you will only spiral further seems like you're really passionate about the film industry why not devote some time to visit the MMFF and try promoting some gems in the rough via yt film reviews or try auditioning for a theater troupe

With the pandemic, everything changed. I don’t know how a good leader will turn things around. Is BBM not doing the best he can? While I still prefer Leni and Kiko to be president and vice president, I don’t know what a better future looks like anymore. Are we just going through the motions and just want to live another day? There are no magic bullets to solve our problems. What does a REALISTIC better world supposed to look like?

the Pink movement winning was the idealist vision of the future but reality is often a cruel mistress as people have said numerous times

The dutertes dragged the bar into the dirt that macoy doing the bare minimum is seen as a direct upgrade at this point if one cannot learn to face the fact na we let another marcos rule over us then one is no better than the generic apologist/loyalist as for the future and what you might do to impact it is tantamount na duterte lapdog candidates not be given seats in the upcoming 2025 senatorial race whether or not you will answer the call to action again is up to you

If it's an consollation the dutertes are getting their comeuppance with making a deal the marcoses instead of campaigning on their own "platform" with the POGO money being cut

if the government is really serious about encouraging cycling in Metro Manila.

they never were as bike lanes were conceived out of necessity due to the pandemic now that it's "over" these degenerates see the bike lane as a drain

“We have to come up with some kind of strategy wherein, let’s say, you provide scholarships and then the scholarship agreement includes that you stay three years. After that then they’re free to go,” Marcos said during the Private Sector Advisory Council-Jobs Sector Group (PSAC-Jobs) meeting on Thursday, which was relayed by the Presidential Communications Office through a statement on Friday.

Bro should just out right say that we want you to he a slave to the country for three years before you're free

Officials from PSAC agreed that the local labor market for health care and information technology sectors cannot match the high pay offered in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe.

counterpoint those countries have better worker protections and perks (i.e PTO) than what we have here in PH I feel like she is missing the forest for the trees with this one

“I think what we can do is to continue to offer certificate programs and train their skills. I think we can do that. There’s no way for us to retain them,” said Teresita Sy-Coson of SM Investments Corp, who presented the proposals in the meeting on behalf of the PSAC Jobs sector.

certificate programs that we all know the graduate will have to pay for out of pocket how about instead of that you consider worker rights and protections oh wait she is with SM Investments all the 7 hells must freeze before they even think about that

it seems like the anti-natalist mindset is starting to take root in /r/Philippines and would like to hear what the fediverse has to say about it

Disclaimer : I'am a proponent of anti-natalism mainly cause of how messed up things have gotten from economy , politics and even societal norms I don't necessarily wish for the extinction of the human race but rather for a paradigm shift on how we can break free from the infinite growth mindset given that we live in a finite world

  1. Atolla 5v 4a usb hub ($30.00) power really helped with my cable management problems and power up my PI from there

  2. LS 50x headset ($250.00) mainly cause it's triple connectivity ( Wired , BT , 2.4Ghz )

Since ISPs in my country all use CGNAT i rely on tailscale for access outside I wanna try hosting my own lemmy instance and have a few questions

  • Are you still able to federate with other instances?
  • only people on the VPN will be able to join?

Scammers: "It's free real estate"

“Masyadong hassle pa yata. Gagawa pa tayo ng program to ano tapos we will just use it for one month. Eh yung development nun at deployment baka abutin ng three weeks or one month,” DICT Sec Ivan John Uy added, explaining that it’s not sensible to implement a program one month before the July 25 deadline for SIM registration.

What do you mean "to ano"? At least explain what program you mean that just brings up even more confusion
