Yeah, I agree, but I also kind of like it? I know it goes against a lot of popular opinion online, and obviously it's annoying that I have to drive 5 minutes to get to a grocery store or 15 to drop my kid off, but my neighborhood is cut into the middle of the woods so we're secluded and we get to see lots of wilderness around us. But our houses are close together so we're all really friendly with each other and have a great community where it feels totally safe to let the kids play outside until far after dark.

It also helps that I love driving, and I specifically love my car, so even though I've driven 20K miles / 32K km in the past year, it doesn't feel like much time wasted because I've loved doing it

Yeah I mean I’m just old but I preferred games the way they were 20 years ago, when all those cool cosmetics were in the base game, and they released paid expansions later

Yeah, basically same here. He's almost 2, so we're starting to introduce some high quality mobile stuff like pokpok and sago, and he's tried some simpler controller games (like the latest paw patrol one on game pass) but he can't really grasp the concept of how the controller controls the character on screen (even though he's great at holding the controller)

Lately I’ve felt that the higher tiers of PS+ have more value since I very rarely use Xbox game streaming, but a $2 raise isn’t bad considering how great the value has been for how many years

What I really want though is a family plan so I can split the cost of a subscription with friends and family (my Nintendo switch online plan has 8 people on it which made the expansion pass way more palatable since it’s only $10 per person per year)
