Do they mean Democrats would prefer another candidate or Repuplicans would?

That's probably true for both parties. A large majority of voters didn't want a Biden/Trump rematch, but here we are.

I wholeheartedly agree, but I don't think there's any saving it at this point. Car manufacturers are dropping it from new models and that's the only actual AM/FM radio most people actually buy these days.

Same thing happened to the phone network. It used to actually be possible to call 911 when the power was out. The central stations all had battery banks and diesel generators. Unless the lines were cut, you had service.

They claim to be, but it's been a lot more talk than action over the past few decades. That's why Trump picked up so much blue collar support. He didn't do anything for them either, but he spoke to their anger.

The Senate will probably never have 66 votes to impeach him before he dies of old age, but there is no reason he cannot be prosecuted and jailed for bribery and corruption. There are actual laws against that.

None of the republican candidates are minimally acceptable. All of them are authoritarian and wish to end democracy. I think it's more dangerous if one of the less crazy-sounding ones gets the nomination. Biden is unpopular and there's a very real chance anybody who's not Trump will win simply by virtue of being somebody "new."

The ideal scenario is that Trump gets the nomination but can barely campaign in the general because of all of his court obligations. It gets even better if he's knocked off a few state ballots and/or the republican party tries to take the nomination away from him after the fact and they tear each other apart with infighting.

The two counts are:

  1. Is a democrat
  2. Is not a republican

Tough guy bravado is his whole brand and he's pushing a narrative that he's being persecuted. He's using an angry face because he wants his cult to be angry too.

No idea, but any lawyer who represents Trump and doesn't demand cash up front deserves what they get.

I absolutely loved the Nexus line, but I'm on my third Pixel and they've been mostly excellent aside from a couple of nitpicks. I had the 2XL, 4a5g & 6 Pro so far. I will likely get the Pixel 8 Pro after that's released. Aside from the name (why!?!?!!?), the 4a5g was just about perfect.

My 6 Pro has been mostly great, but a little sensitive to overheating in direct sunlight and it chews through battery on 5g. Hopefully the 8 improves on those two things. And has a flat screen, as is rumored.

I don't think 24 episodes will be happening any time soon, but it would be nice to have 12-14. Ten is so few, and with the ongoing strikes, it's going to be a while until another season happens.

We are tribal animals and will do this with just about everything. See also: politics, religion, ancestry, food, computer platforms, smartphone platforms, clothing brands, astrological signs, science fiction franchises, choice of pet, which way the toilet paper goes, etc.

I tried nuking mine and they restored everything. At least I have the power not to give them anything more.
