I have had this game in my backlog since forever, this review already motivated me even more to start it lol.
What is this enhanced feed feature of Feedly that I have never heard of? Is it a premium feature of something?
Lemmy is almost there, but still missing the non techy communities
Thank god, have you seen how the world is out there? Crazy shit /s
Another problem was that many sites shifted to providing only parts of articles instead of full versions
That annoys me so much, that is the number one reason why I use Feeder more than Feedly nowadays (I manually keep them synced, Feedly is multiplatform and Feeder sadly isn't) as it has a feature to download the page and use their native app view, so much better than going to the site (even with Ublock I'd rather not go unless I want to comment or see comments, which sadly isn't a thing for most of the sites nowadays).
Yeah, I have two solutions for you:
-
Get rid of the Google feed which is crap, and a total BS that it doesn't support your default browser unless disabling or getting rid of Chrome, you can use an app like Discovery Killer to get rid of it and replace it for another app, as I'm currently using Kvaesitso I have no need for doing that (Discovery Killer currently frozen), I can't recall if the app needs root though (root FTW anyway).
-
Continue to use it if you enjoy trash news sites with clic baits and such, you can block ads at a DNS level, through android settings or if you have a PiHole at the house, personally I use AdAway rooted version (root FTW x2) and my PiHole at house and with a VPN outside, I'm pretty sure AdAway tooks first, but meh, let's have some redundancy 😂
I'm pretty sure that could have been mentioned in this thread but I just wanted to explain my setup.
I suffer from that in Mastodon because I follow hashtags, but in Lemmy? No way, all I see is English in Everything.
Also I have more than 800 subscribed communities so I have a better understandable feed.
I think Smart Tube Next has never failed on me, I use the beta version and update it regularly (or not) so well, maybe that helps.
Fair enough.
Do shit posting.
I like them, but I like Android more, I was an iPhone user since the 4 model up to 6s, my girlfriend still is, she currently has an iPhone 13 and I am amazed of how well iOS feels and behaves, we also share an iPad it’s so good to use and with Apple you get a shit ton of versions support as well.
The iOS apps also have its charm, I think many of them are better crafted on iOS than Android…
I like Android for everything that has been discussed here already, but who knows if I go back someday to iOS, still need to improve, for now I think it is that good that jailbreak does not feels like a necessity like back in the days…
I suffer from this with almost any media I use and enjoy, re-watching/reading is a thing I enjoy at least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sorry if this is not the answer that you are looking though.
