There are solutions like ente and immich but I think they both are pretty overkill for my use case. I almost never look through my old photos so I don't need an app and a web UI or whatever. The face detection thing does not entice me either. I don't need encryption either.

Is there a simpler solution for this? I am thinking of just writing a script that syncs the camera folder using adb or something like that. But before I create a jank monstrosity I thought it would be better to ask around.

For a live service game like Helldivers you could at least logically justify the account requirement but for an offline game like GoW it will just piss people.

Should also point out that five police officers were tried for this supposed massacre. The trial itself was shady as shit and Kiev Independent acknowledged that the Ukrainian prosecution sabotaged the proceedings. Out of the five officers on trial, the three that were tried in absentia were conveniently given harsh sentences and the two in attendance did not serve any time, with one being acquited.

I would love to see a source for this. Even if this is true, it's probably possible to circumvent regulations like this during war time. If elections can be suspended, opposition political parties can be banned then this is like possible as well.

What about Apple? From my limited knowledge their ecosystem is even more locked down than Android's.

Culturally Russia sees itself as outside the rest of the world. At the very minimum, an equal to historical empires of Europe or Asia, but part of neither. It sees the USA as an ethnic mongrel with no culture or history, and hates the US power it projects globally.

I was wondering if you could provide something to back this up since these are rather sweeping claims.

The only thing I can think of that comes close is Dugin's writings but I have never seen anything that could suggest that his ideas are widely accepted or adopted as the state's doctrines.

If you are using both accounts from the same IP address and/or phone it is trivial for Meta to figure out it is one person using two separate accounts.

I see this being mentioned a bit in American media. I understand why this can happen. Capital does not want to pay living wages to the working people and workers do not want to work for pennies. There is no such thing as labour shortage, only capital not willing to pay.

But if people are just walking away from jobs, how are they affording subsistence? I have seen restaurants being closed because they don't have workers. So it is not only people who can afford savings who are quitting.

I can't phrase the question very well but the bottom line is this: I don't understand. So any insight you might want to share is welcome.

1080p same as last year

On a serious note I want to quit smoking but the reason I smoke is stress from the job so not sure how to approach that. Thinking of just going cold turkey since I am not a chain smoker and only smoke 3-5 cigarettes a day so the withdrawals should be manageable.

I personally use passwordstore.org with a git repo on a personal VPS. But I wanted to set up a password manager for my boomer parents and looks like Bitwarden is one of the better options out there.

The problem is that the free tier sounds a bit too good to be true so I am worried that it might just disappear or discontinue one day. Any idea if this fear is unfounded or not?

If you have been using Bitwarden please share your experience with it. Would like to hear.

I use one called X-Plore. It's actually very good. Even has a WiFi server, conpressed archive support, etc. but the downsides are that it's close sourced and some features are behind a paywall (though IMO they are worth it).

So I was thinking of moving to some free or open source software. Any recommendations?

I gave it a go last night and it is way trickier then I expected. Simple things like setting options are not very convenient at the moment. I also tried to get packer.nvim running but the README was not very helpful.

Looks like I will be sticking with init.vim for some time.
