people are gave some good answers.
it boils down to various large sites.
wikipedia(app) and reddit(app) are my top.
often time i just bang out a search and pinpoint the answer and trash the rest.
[deleted] stackexchanges and ycomb are some other popular sites.
quora used to seem attractive but information is questionable and the whole experience is trash.

gemini, bookmarks, chatgpt are some others. also libgen .

i disagree. with this and parent comment.
i would argue: more is more.
the devil is in the details and how u choose to implement your system efficiently.

i guess one strategy is if u just need to have a smooth experience u can rapidly cut out cruft. this would lead to a much simpler experience and u would still retain a fair amount of privacy.
personally.. i would rather have all privacy switches available.. even if i rarely choose to have them enabled.

or u can save the page using the browser menu.
sometimes this allows for smaller size. and also ability to crop out unwanted resources. but then the page breaks and having a resource folder is messy to deal with.

UI is worse, performance is mostly a bit slower, the morals seem cloudy sometimes.
and.. the biggest one: PEOPLE ARE APATHETIC

reminds me of this project https://farm.bot/ .
but a project like this is so slow or nonexistant development ( i would argue: this is because we put all our hope and time into specialization.) this is only maintained by a few people. it doesn't compete or compare with the size and scale of modern industrial farms so nobody really cares and its not deemed to be important.

i suppose thats a good thing. its not worthwhile to persue agriculture anymore. food is cheap.
i'm more worried about paying my landlord.
