You could try turning on Do Not Disturb for all numbers, all the time. The calls and texts will technically still happen but you won't be notified of them. You may be able to avoid voicemails if you never set it up. You'll see all your texts if you ever open the app although you may be able to disable or remove it. (YMMV based on your particular phone.)

Their email is ColonelCSA@gmail where, I assume, CSA is Confederate States of America. I did a little research and found that they are a Confederate re-enactor in the Ozarks who plays a Colonel in the re-enactments and does not appear to have any military background. This was... not surprising.

I think the joke is that the props department needed a collection of medals and one of them is just a combadge painted a different color. Maybe they ran out of ideas, maybe it was easy, maybe they assumed nobody would notice. Star Trek needed a lot of props that looked alien or futuristic but sometimes it's just a hair dryer with a curvy pipe glued on the outside and spray painted black.

I was doing some napkin math for how many femtoseconds there are between each frame and how that compares to Planck time but this response does a better job capturing how cool this is.
