Nicht ganz klar was jetzt zuerst war, aber all die Treibhausgase in der Atmosphäre dürfte weit problematischer sein.
Solange die Zivilisation noch nicht kollabiert ist und sie noch ein paar Tassen im Schrank hat lässt sich das Endlager schon managen. Also so für die nächsten 10 - 20 Jahre sollte es noch gut laufen 👍

A similar case was google reimplementing Sun/Oracle Java APIs. Which has been deemed legal after all.

Totally agree. Same with electric cars. Yes, they are not great. But we need to find a way to reduce emissions rapidly. Which means re-using already built infrastructure. Which is, as much as it sucks, roads.
How do you measure "efficiency" ? By money spent? Then yes, trees are currently cheaper. But trees are complicated (see other comments). Additionally, even if we cover the whole landmass with trees, there is still a catastrophic amount of Co2 left in the atmosphere.
Ich muss die Studie noch im Detail lesen, aber ich hoffe sie haben die Schweizer Pauschalbesteuerung berücksichtigt. Superreiche können in der Schweiz mit der Steuerbehörde verhandeln und zahlen in der Praxis lächerlich wenig Steuern. Viel weniger als die Grenzsteuersätze vermuten lassen.
Nachdem wir das mal gesagt haben: Ja, auch ohne Schlupflöcher sind die Spitzensteuersätze lächerlich niedrig. Und das gilt wohl pauschal für den DACH Raum...
