It really does, I need to check it out sometime!
I can only hope so
You and me both haha. It's been a good few years but here's a link with more info if you're curious, pretty amusing story. I used to be pretty active back when it happened so I remember it well.
Going by how OP worded their comment, I can't imagine they're too enthused about homosexuality being acknowledged as a stable sexual orientation either
Pretty much, yeah. At some point I remember the recommendation being having a separate /boot as well due to incompatibilities with GRUB's save default option iirc, not sure that's a thing anymore.
Anyway, you usually set that up during the install process, although I'm not sure graphical installers let you handcraft btrfs subvolume mount points or even select them as such these days. Last I checked at least they either just used a default layout (@ and @home with Ubuntu, for instance) or treated it as a single volume with no further options.
Image uploads have been completely disabled on lemm.ee for a good while, unfortunately. Iirc it happened when shitheads started trying to upload CSAM a while ago and it's been like that ever since.

As someone who struggled quite a bit to learn Nix, I'd say start small. Install Nix the package manager on any old distro you're familiar with and play with standalone Home Manager. Enable one program here and there, have it manage your shells and CLI apps, set environment variables and write files. It's something you can immediately see the effects of and feels pretty rewarding, so I think it's a great place to start.
I also happened upon this video series a few days ago and it's a great resource, easy to parse and walks you through not only the basics but how to look around and investigate in the REPL when you want to figure something out.
That's great news!
Side note, I can't help but hope they give DLDSR the same treatment someday. I guess for that to happen actual DSR would have to be in first though and that doesn't sound too likely.
Another happy user here, the Android app is still a tad rough but perfectly usable and it's a great experience overall. The Logseq (+Obsidian iirc) integration is quite nice too. I should give hosting it myself a go sometime...
Glad you brought that up, never heard of it. Thanks!
You're absolutely right, major brain fart on my part to assume that's what the person I responded to meant
Hey, being able to wear wildly impractical sexy outfits with no issues is one of the many superpowers that come with being an anime girl lol
