No, I'm fine. But you go and have fun.

I mostly use OsmAnd for everything.

Also https://www.opencyclemap.org/ is nice if you want to find bicycle paths.

Another nice tool is https://www.komoot.com as it has a lot of features for planning (longer) trips by foot or bike.

I also like BRouter - e.g. https://brouter.m11n.de . There other versions of this with different settings and languages.

I think all of them are based on OSM data, but they augment them in various ways.

Well put me in a dress and call me Sheryl. Never knew that the "accepted definitions" were really that close. Thanks!

I knew that some definitions of OSS were really basic (as in "as long as there is source at some point") but I didn't know that the OSI definition was so close to the idea of "free software".

I found the read about the history and similarities & differences quite interesting: https://web.archive.org/web/20180915200609/http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/open-source-misses-the-point.html

Yes. You see that triangle with a line on top of it on the PCB? The line on your diode should be on the same side as the line on that marking.

Afaik, Freecad has an architecture module/plugin.

Also, check out https://fediverse.party/en/miscellaneous/ for a comprehensive list of services/apps available in the fediverse.

This would incentivise instances to keep growing, as more users would potentially mean more income. I don't think that this is a good idea as it conflicts the decentralized nature of the fediverse.

I would suggest that we promote donations more. Seriously, nobody is talking about that stuff.

Furthermore, "money" doesn't always fix a communities infrastructure issues - people do. Most of the time, admins are a one-person-army. If people would take over work (like moderation, implementing helpful features in code, ...) more often, that might help out the admins more than just throwing money at them.

It is the same as with a lot of open source communities: It's not all about the money, it's about people getting active and involved and helping each other out.

+1 for SyncThing. The most cloud-less cloud one could wish to have.

OP could setup remotes in a way that they can be synced via VPN which could probably fit the "holiday" usecase. It wouldn't be a "everything is up in the cloud in realtime" kind of situation, but syncing up in the evening when you are out of home for a couple of days should be painless enough.
