I used to watch The Wan Show which I guess is more of an unfiltered look than the edited videos. But yeah, kinda.
There were numerous times when he'd openly criticise a colleague, or just like... undermine them? And then realise he was looking like an asshole and awkwardly laugh to try to pass it off as a joke.
It's very clear once you've watched a few episodes of The Wan Show that he's basically a massive asshole and a liability, surrounded by people desperately trying to rein him in.
Particularly more recently, I think? Like, I eventually stopped watching because the first 40 minutes of every episode was Linus trying to defend himself for the latest bullshit thing he'd done. π
There was (maybe still is) a cake shop in Southgate, North London. About a minute from my old flat.
The cakes in the window display rarely changed, if ever.
The guy running it looked like if you imagine the toughest prisoner at a prison, only wearing an apron.
About 50/50 whether the glass would be smashed whenever you walked past.
It was often "open" and had people coming in and out of it at 2-3am when I came back from nights out.
And there was a drive-by shooting right in that area while I lived there, that I always assumed was related. π

Ohhhhh, OK I get it now.
I always used (and preferred) the official app and wondered why I was the only one haha.
But, I had Reddit Premium until recently, and now I guess AdGuard must be picking up the slack. π
Funnily enough @fer0n@lemm.ee does seem to work in the Liftoff app, but I guess there maybe isn't a standard yet. π

The thing that annoys me in subs of foreign-language things, is where a very simple or recognisable sentence gets turned into something else. Not in a "localisation" way, where extra context is needed. Just in a weird way.

This seems a lot more common in "official" subs of anime, nordic noir, etc. Fan-subs seem a lot more accurate.
