I use telegram mainly for info channels and tickers. To my knowledge that's not possible in Signal, because you can't restrict participants to be read-only (right?)

Can't relate. It's not harder to get your hands on a matrix account in comparison to a mail account. And for those that want it even easier, just download Element and you are guided through the default registration at matrix.org

Resonate is really nice. There aren't that many artists yet tho...

Codeberg is wonderful and also really easy to switch to from Github, as it has nice migration features.

Sounds like a good time to switch to resonate. There's (sadly) not that many artists there yet, but the pricing model is really cool (and doesn't exploit tne artists as much). And I guess the only way a platform like this will get more artists, is if it gets more listeners :)
