I don't understand this either. There's no fucking algorithm overlord here right? No fucking tiktok, youtube bullshit required.

If you want to say fuck, fucking say fuck.

On another note. Thx for introducing me to the robustness principle ♥️

Ahhh yes the tampon phase. I remember those days.

Although in 2024 I would recommend anyone to be done with smoking and buy a vaporizer. Even if you don't consume as much, a dynavap is only 40-60EU, allows you to pretty much use any heat source, gives excellent vapor and is built to last.

Vaporents are the future :)

Does such an angle exist from the google perspective? Probably.

Is it 'just' this and nothing else, I'd argue no.

Matters tend to be more complex than simple black and white statements.

I for one think Mozilla is one of the most visible actors with regards to privacy promoting thought and FOSS, with widespread 'mainstream' reach. If it wasn't for Firefox I'd have to use chromium for instance, and that would make the world a sadder day.

I do agree that funding from google is an obvious conflict of interest and probably influences policy in a way not a 100% aligned with humanitarian goals. This is definitely less than ideal and I think everybody involved on this side of the fence would like to see that change. Maybe you could help them with that?

What astonishes me most is that at least half of you are probably highly paid engineers that are debating this on company time instead of using your brainpower for actual problems.

I like it!

Also I choose spices for instant riches and laser for burning out the eyes of my enemy to solidify my identity as a magician. After that we can finally focus on growing weed and mushrooms because y'all know 5 tanks ain't gonn last long.

I am just happy to be dancing for once.

I too would wear a mask, headphones and probably a sleepmask if I were forced to sit next to someone who enjoys Ayn Rand.

I kind of like that tbh. I have identified as an anarchist/communist for over 25 years and even I thought the content at Lemmy was too much of a downer to be around too much.

The point is not the content per se, the point is nobody has any other incentive than to have a good time and share. Instead of the basic human desire to be social constantly being exploited for shiny fucking coins by robots and or psychopaths.

You pick the communities you like. Diversity is key.

There are however a lot of peer reviewed studies on 'believing in yourself' or 'self confidence' as our clinical psychologist friends would call it. Of course there is still an ongoing replication crisis in the whole field of psychology but that's a story for another time (read: your philosophy of science class).
