This week I went running and practiced yoga on 2 days. I'm still tracking my nutrition and trying to eat at maintenance so that I have enough energy for exercise. Next week I would like to go running on at least 2 days.

This week was kinda stressful but I managed to keep up with most of my habits. I tracked almost all of my meals for the second week in a row and continued losing weight. I walked a lot, around 7600 steps per day according to my app. I went hiking with a friend on Saturday. Overall it wasn't a great week because it was stressful but I'm glad that I still managed to make some progress.

No Zero Days is an interesting concept but it doesn't account for the fact that everybody has a shit day (or more) sometimes. My approach is to try to make continuous progress, no matter how small. Some days will not be productive, but that's normal and expected. The important thing is that you're still on an upwards trajectory stonks-up

You can check in here every day and we will hold you accountable if you wish. Also there is a NZD subr*ddit that you can check while you're doomscrolling

Great idea, I will start doing a roll call starting from next week.

I have recently started reading How Not to Die by Michael Greger. It's packed with a lot of useful information on health and nutrition but at the same time it's very easy to read. He's using facts & logic to conclusively prove that the plant based diet is the healthiest diet. I think everybody should read it, this book will literally add years to your life. vegan-seitan

I'm also reading The Hobbit, which is a really comfy book. comfy

I'm a huge podcast enjoyer, here are some recommendations:

Huberman Lab - the host is a neuroscientist and professor at Stanford. This is my favourite episode, it has a lot of actionable advice

The Tim Ferris Show - the guy interviews successful people from all fields. There are a lot of episodes so you can choose the guests which you like

10% Happier - this one is focused on stuff like meditation, mindfulness, mental health and Buddhism. My favourite episode is with the autor of Atomic Habits

The Art of Manliness - the title is a bit cringe but it's a good podcast and there is no toxic masculinity

Life Kit - a podcast by NPR on how to do stuff

The Psychology Podcast - different topics from psychology but it's not too dry because every episode is an interview of a different guest

It's Not Just In Your Head - how mental health problems are caused by living in hellworld

Wrestling With Depression - open conversations with people going thru stuff, except a lot of them are comedians so it's funny as well

Overdue - podcast about books. The hosts are very nice and have decent politics

The Antifada - my favourite leftist podcast

Sorry to hear that about 2023. The previous year was the worst year of my life so I can relate. I'm wishing you a good 2024 solidarity

I also had a breakup this year unity

I think that kanye is completely uncancellable at this point. My guy literally said "I like hitler" and nothing happened lol

But this is more fun! And it has already been requested there years ago. This way it will be seen by more people so it's easier to gauge interest.
