Relative to what? Relative to LINUX on Intel? Relative to Windows on ARM?
For me it was $24 for a new oven igniter. That was three weeks ago and it hasn’t worn off, yet.
That’s not an NTFS issue. That’s a Windows issue.
Can’t say why your other posts were downvoted because we don’t know what they are. Possibly people thought you were scare-mongering
If this happened, you’ve been doxxed.
You never provided that info to Lemmy & it’s not stored in Lemmy therefore it can’t be stolen from Lemmy.
Doesn’t mean nobody can figure out who you are based on your post history, comments or username.

Actually, it was my first home before I started my own instance and I still maintain a presence here.
And, seeing as you said you would answer any questions in this thread and then subsequently blew of my legitimate question with a snarky remark, well, I think that's a clear sign of where this thread is going.
Agreed. I'm not immune to the rush of seeing a post take off as a bonus reward for contributing. I also find it helpful in communties that deal in factual information as a loose system of trustworthiness.
Three hours since official launch and top personalities have already amassed 100K+ followers. Not sure what the official headcount is on Mastodon these days but those counts already surpass the total number of users on Lemmy.
Not to mention that even good faith efforts can fail. We see that server lag and reliability impacts posts, comments and upvotes across instances. The same goes for purge requests. If my instance misses the message from lemmy.world to delete or purge a post, it won't happen on my instance. There's no after the fact reconciliation.
Agreed. I think it's fair to say that most people will consider the fact that their instance admins have access to this data.
What many probably won't consider is that ANY instance admin across the fediverse has access to much of it. It's near-zero cost to become an instance admin so the potential number of people who have access is limitless.
Yes.
Not all details get propagated across the Fediverse, e.g. your email address only stays with your home instance, but there is information that get's propagated that may be non-obvious to a lot of people.
Credential stuffing is, first and foremost, a user issue. There’s only so much you can do when people use the same password for all their different websites.
That being said, there are some “above and beyond” steps a platform can take and most companies definitely don’t.
