Besides what other have said, by my count we've already had 2 female MND. One became Prime Minister. The other was fairly recent, IMHO did a good job, and has a bright future in politics.

Daylighting is defined the first time it's used. I think it's useful to define and use a term when you're going to use it 6 more times in one article.

Hoboken’s traffic fatalities were low before it ever implemented Vision Zero — it had one road death a year between 2015 and 2017, the last year there was a road fatality.

this is a notebook with an Intel Core i5-4278U @ 2.60GHz (2 cores, 4 threads) with 8 GB RAM and installing and upgrading on xubuntu 23.10 was already really, painfully slow.

Have you put an SSD in there, or are you still running on spinning rust? In my experience, even a cheap SSD will make a huge difference.

I definitely agree with you about the data, but people's feelings do matter, that's why we're currently experiencing a vibecession.

That's a quote from Malaysia's commodities minister, so I don't know if you can trust it. The article also says

The Asian nation is the world's second-largest producer of the widely used commodity, whose production is blamed by environmentalists for fuelling the destruction of the great ape's habitats in both Malaysia and Indonesia.

Can it? Certainly. People have been doing so for years now.

Should you? None of us can answer that for you. None of us know your needs, your technical proficiency, or your willingness to put up with bugs/quirks

If you're interested, you should go read/listen/watch the experiences of users and ask questions once you have some specific ones.

Governments allow tax deductions or credits for activities they want to encourage, like the ones you listed. Using those is not tax avoidance at all. In this case, he's changing jurisdictions to avoid taxes, a completely different situation.

CityNerd's maps tend to be much prettier than this (not trying to throw shade, I would literally do much worse than this) and lately, he's just be using this instead of making his own.

It's even better when it's done in a different colour. Then it makes it really clear that the freeway is wider than the 3 parking that abut it on the left.

If a currency is agreed upon being valid by multiple parties, I'd argue it is "real money".

That right there. The vast, vast majority of people don't think it's valid, therefore it's not real money.

EVs are an inefficient solution for the ~85% of Canadians who live in urban areas. We need more investment in efficient solutions in areas like public transportation, active transportation, and liveable cities.

It really is. Especially things like

Morden can be heard off camera yelling, "If you're talking to us, you can breathe!"

Those of us who didn't already know found out that's not true with George Floyd.
