I mean, if that gets people in places if power to think about climate change, I'll take it!

I agree a truck might be useful to a contractor, but not that truck. It's lifted to an unusable height, and those rims are all flash, no function.

It also might not come on even for affected users. OP's comment in the reddit post:

From gathering info on their issue tracker, the act of opening the video file but not grab frames is some weird usecase that is acting in weird ways. Additionally, the indicator light is turned on by the uvcvideo driver in a lot of hardware (yes, an attacker can theoretically watch you without you noticing). A possible fix for this is would be in the kernel itself, which should basically ignore the fd being open and only truly act when frames are grabbed.

The worst is when there's no sidewalk and the community is really sprawly, yet there are desire paths in the grass. It shows that even though the odds are stacked against walking, a bunch of people still do.

“I am aware that your family has suffered a trauma but the answer does not lie in leaving the Most Holy Eucharist,” Deshotel wrote in his excommunication decree.

By excommunicating him, you've banned him from receiving Eucharist. He didn't leave.

In this case, it doesn't seem like the patents are "awfully broad". Masimo is actively selling products using the patents, and it seems likely that Apple stole their technology.

I was interested until 4GB of RAM. I have 8GB on my 13 year old Thinkpad x201, and that's sometimes not enough!

This might be the most legitimate work Santos has done in his life!

But they aren't controlling all electronic means of communication for 90% of the continental United States, as AT&T did in the ma' bell and pa' bell days.

Google controls over 90% of the search business in the US and that's the way the vast majority of people begin their browsing. It's why US v Google is currently in the courts

"If you throw a speaker out that has 99 percent of their conference, that kept government open and paid the troops, I think we're in a really bad place," McCarthy told reporters in the Capitol Tuesday morning.

Guess he's not talking about himself because he's got only 96.33%(210/218) of his conference...
