Solidworks, Matlab is not exactly what you call CHAD open-source tech as opposed to Python where you can get shit done with it.

I feel like I’m the only person in this room feeling like it’s kinda dystopian! Do you really want to see those devices become the norm?

With the father filming his children and all that shit we saw in the ad? Let’s live in the present, not through the camera of a device made by mega-corporation.

Please Valve, be the first to implement a market for the players on Steam, and once again you’ll be the pioneer that everyone tries to copy.

Hey! My mom recently decided to cancel her subscription to Netflix as she didn’t to give money to corporations and heard about how I got everything I needed online through Torrenting.

I decided to make a little surprise for her and make her the most convenient TV setup she can easily use!

It’s hard because I’m a tech-savvy guy and I just watch everything with VLC/mpv after getting it on qBitTorrent. For her convenience as she knows little about piracy, I don’t want to force her to look for the ideal torrents, and the language/subtitles.

(☞゚ヮ゚)☞ Here’s my idea: the ideal Streamio + + Torrentio + Trakt on an Android TV.

I just need to know about some things:

  • Your recommended Stemio add-ons to make her life easier. I need to read this list (GitHub’s awesome-stremio)
  • If she doesn’t find the show in French in the list, how to make it super easy to get the right subtitles from OpenSubtitles?
  • We have a Mi Stick as an Android TV and the experience has been very bad, It’s tiny & laggy, I shouldn’t have bought this for her.
  • That’s why I want to know your experience with Nvidia Shield and which model should I get for a snappy experience?

If you have any other advices, please do enlighten me !! -noctis

Ahaha yes I think it’s kinda suspect too. Imagine spending millions & millions on a quality title just to give it away for free?

Why would they even do that? Could they even do it? (I believe) It does not work like that :)

Seriously, I can’t imagine a world where you invest millions in a project just to give it for free. I don’t see how someone could think it’s frustrating.

For once, if you like a game and want to support the industry, buy it. Vote with your wallet.

… the founding ideas are promising, and something I dream of.

Before I start, just a little bit of background on me so you can understand how biased I am (😅): I’m a 16 years old programmer and I won a few crypto hackathon/funding rounds and I made a lot of friends in the field. It allowed me to get quite a bit of ETH/XMR along the way!

I see cryptocurrencies getting a lot of hate, rightly so for the number of scams, shitcoins, NFTs bullshit, “governance”, DAOs and all those often useless & snob terms.

However the founding ideas of decentralisation and freedom with your money are very appealing to me. Smart contracts are really interesting for creating your own banking operation and tokens can represent anything! It’s a world of possibilities to play with, and you get to build something useful for people!

I’d just like to add a bit of nuance tho: I see a lot of apps being built and what’s really making me laugh is the lack of open-source, decentralisation and auditing on privacy. Granted, there is a lot of fake promises, but it’s like everything, you have to find the talented people to follow.

I find it fascinating to build unstoppable, decentralised, user-first apps. I just hope that web3 stays true to its founding principles.

Hope it was interesting, tell me what you think!

What’s also frustrating is the fact that MacBook could be the ideal options for me but they’re not repairable easily, they are also super pricy if you want the bare minimum in 2023 (16go of RAM and a decent sized SSD)…

There’s everything, customisation with Yabai, FL Studio + VST support, Logic Pro X, fast compile time for when I program, linux convenience, nerd fonts, dark theme, etc…

And don’t get me started on the battery and the screen quality.

It’s crazy to be talented at reverse-engineering and needing all the attention. Guys, stop fighting a second, you need to be united if you want to defeat the DRMs!

It’s cool that this issue is now getting mainstream coverage!
