My first thought is that old school secure software (like claws-mail) treats a cert change as a minor security incident, asking you to confirm every time. Completely different school of thought.

I'm probably getting downvoted for this, but tripadvisor has been good for me. Not a lot of opinions compared to Google Maps but I have yet to find a shit restaurant in their top 10 places.

The problem is that these plugins need updates for security. You can't realistically manually reinstall all plugins on all sites weekly.

This is not to defend any of the sides, just something that may not be obvious at first sight. This ecosystem is full of amateurish code and unupdated addons are being hacked on a regular basis.

I'd book a flight through a travel agency if these still existed. Booking online is pure dread to me. I'm too young to have ever seen a travel agency but the concept of not having to deal with Ryanair and Wizzair is very luring.
