Seriously, I'm 41 and over the last year I've slowed slipped into fuck it mode. Don't get me wrong, I still have plenty of things I care about, but so many little things I've just stopped caring about and my life is so much more relaxed because of it. It's amazing what hitting 40 can do to your mindset.
LoL, two words I would not use to describe myself, hot and dad. Though I admit at this point in my life it is difficult to find someone who doesn't have children. Yeah I know I'm gameable, that's probably something that subconsciously is holding me back. I know that when I fall for someone, I fall hard. It's not "thinking with the wrong head" it's thinking "don't screw this up because you'll be alone forever". Maybe now that I'm comfortable being alone I can be a bit more relaxed in a relationship.
Yeah I was going to say, I'm 41 and while I seem more like gen X since I mainly hang around with them and basically grew up around them, I am sadly gen Y.
On a side note, millennial has such a bad connotation around it I prefer to say gen Y. Most people don't associate their negative feelings about millennials with the term gen Y and it just makes life easier during the rare occasions that it comes up.
I'm going on what I heard from Security Now but it is my understanding that apple was the only one pushing for this and the others just voted to approve even though apple was never able to present a convincing argument for why it needed to be shortened.
Same here, I have to do a team meeting everyday but that's audio only. Other than that, I do a waste day (office day) once a month and half the time my supervisor cuts that by half. I haven't seen my manager since December and the department head since September.
It's been six years and my supervisor learned a long time ago that if you just tell me what to do and then leave me alone, it will get done. If I run into an issue I'll reach out, but otherwise you won't hear from me until I'm done.
The playground Mafia, you stop cutting into my business or your going to have an extra long nap time. Capiche?
2001, Dre's album drops, nobody has it yet. In walks the kid who has a T1 line and a 5 disc CD copier with a spindle of discs. He sits down in homeroom, puts the spindle on his desk and says Dre's new album five bucks right here.
He sold out before the end of the day, made a good amount of cash, and was racking it in for months getting people albums that they requested because none of us could get it work with our slow connection. Of course when the two competing ISPs upgraded their networks later that year, he lost the majority of his business, but for a few months he was our pirate savior.
The Dems don't just need "brawlers" but they also need people willing to get dirty. If you know pro wrestling, Eddie Guerrero at one time had a gimmick that included the slogan "I lie, I cheat, I steal" that is the mindset democratic operatives have to get into and party members have to at least accept, if they want any chance of beating the GOP.
The Dems don't seem to understand that there is no bottom for how low the GOP will go, and that means they are going to have to get dirty and do and say things that will haunt them, but it will be for the good of the entire country and if they truly care about democracy and this country they will fall on that sword and dive head first into that mud pit.
*Sorry for the run on's and ranting.... ADHD stream of consciousness.
Democrats, the masters of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
