Hiya,

Recently upgraded my server to an i5-12400 CPU, and have neen wanting to push my server a bit. Been looking to host my own LLM tasks and workloads, such as building pipelines to scan open-source projects for vulnerabilities and insecure code, to mention one of the things I want to start doing. Inspiration for this started after reading the recent scannings of the Curl project.

Sidenote: I have no intention of swamping devs with AI bugreports, i will simply want to scan projects that i personally use to be aware of its current state and future changes, before i blindly update apps i host.

What budget friendly GPU should i be looking for? Afaik VRAM is quite important, higher the better. What other features do i need to be on the look out for?

I completely agree. This logo is the only one that doesn't look like its been made in MS paint. No hard feelings meant.

Idea is good, execution needs some work imho. As many have pointed out this is not a good combination of symbols. I showed this to 5 different people too and none of them were able to guess its meaning. I'm all for a symbol to show engagement towards the privacy movement, such as the privacy manifesto. Just not quite like this.

Its sadly not public yet as far as I heard, but I'm sure Lemmy will let us know when it is ☺️

I'm incredibly hyped for this!

The article actually stated that the featured is untested.

Controller support exists, but getting TV remotes to work over HDMI CEC is still untested.

Yeah staying far and wide away from those ones, thanks

Hi lemmings!

Moving into a new flat soon and will need to buy both fridge and freezer preferably in one combined unit. Been looking at the side-by-side ones. Anyways Ive got little to no knowledge about fridges and freezers and was wondering if there are any typical "gotchas" to look out for?

I am based on the EU and would prefer to buy from an EU brand too. Any recommendations or tips are plenty welcome!

Thanks as always ☺️

This is would be very good in the cases where u get "forced" to use facebook because of local social clubs, football clubs or a neighborhood of people actively using Facebook.

Hiya there!

I've recently been struggling more and more with this monitor issue as depicted in the picture. It happens whenever I turn the computer on, e.g. when the monitor has been inactive for a while. These lines only occur then, and slowly go away by themselves - unless i change the refresh rate of the monitor. To be frank, this has been an issue for probably over 2 years - but its never been "this bad" before.

Got no idea what has caused this, why it (seems) to be getting worse, or what this type of monitor issue is called.

This is a AOC 32" screen, dont have the exact model - but if it matters ill try to dig deep to find that.

Appreciate any tips or pointers to this.

Tuta is the closets to Proton ID you're looking for just strictly email. Otherwise I'd suggest Fastmail. But also depends what you're looking for in the provider. I went with fastmail as they help develop open-standards such as jmap instead of imap. They also to encrypt all data at rest and own all their own hardware. This was what sold it for me at least. Good luck 👍

First I'm hearing of ObscuraVPN at least, but it does seem to be a very new player in the market. However from reading through their website and Github. This service does look very promising! Though it is slightly more expensive than Mullvad.

Anyone had the chance to test their service yet? Does it seem interesting to you? Let's discuss.
