There are physical reasons why cameras need some horizontal space to achieve good image quality. You need to fit lens elements in there to get sharp images. It's really already a miracle that phone manufacturers have managed to fit such good cameras into that space by now.

Most people don't have a good eye for good image quality. I take a lot of photos as a hobby (mostly with real cameras, but occasionally also phones) and I can definitely tell that my phone photos have been getting a lot better over the years as I got newer smartphones.

Honestly it is less severe than speeding. Copyright was an invention of the pre-digital era. Now that we all use computers, so many things we do every day are technically copyright infringement that it is absurd to even have these kinds of conversations.

Future archeologists be like we keep finding microSD cards from the early 21st century and have to wade through all that data to figure out anything about that period, from earlier periods we only have paper records.

On the Internet, censorship happens not by having too little information, but too much information in which it is difficult to find what you want.

We all have only so much time to spend on the Internet and so necessarily get a filtered experience of everything that happens on the Internet.

Of course. If you read older history, you'll notice that this used to be an Arab-Israeli conflict with Arab states on one side and Israel on the other. They fought wars against each other like in 1948, 1967 and whenever the Yom Kippur War was.

Nowadays Arab states and Israel aren't anywhere near as hostile to each other as they used to be, so the conflict now is mostly between Israel and Palestinian organizations (PLO, Hamas).

Somewhat more sophisticated version of a one-way cul-de-sac.

Humanity never changes. Teenage me found the entire idea that I might need "protection from harmful content on the Internet" ridiculous. Now I have been an adult for more than ten years, I still find it ridiculous that people younger than me might need that.
