The discussion is the right one, but we all need to start blaming the right people. Toxic masculinity, religion and poor education. Dividing people like this isn't the way forward.
Same way companies know they've been hacked. I'm making the assumption you're non technical, given the question. But there are many ways such as access logs, server monitoring etc
Does anybody use incognito for anything more than stopping pornhub show up when you press p in the address bar?
Perhaps it's the make of the bottle the ones I've seen (mainly coke zero and iron bru) don't seem to get in the way, dangle or inconvenience me. The only awkwardness is closing the bottle again, you need to give it a little tug to align it right before closing it. I have to trust that if it even stops 1% of the damage we are doing to the planet then a little awkwardness is acceptable. Because every little helps. I could easily argue they are not doing enough elsewhere before inconveniencing me, but at the same time we all should be doing everything we can to turn back the damage we are doing to the planet, we all live here afterall. Unfortunately not everyone thinks that way so we need to attach bottle tops and drink through paper straws.
I don't know the answer in this specific case, my best guess is visibility, although you might read text posts I would take a guess and say the majority of users of sites such as Lemmy and Reddit only look at the images before interacting with a post. So an image of text would garner more interaction than the same content in a text post.

I see what you did there
That's the one ta, this looks interesting
I'm the same used windows on my gaming pc most of my life and never had any of these popups. I'm starting to think it's the Linux fanboy herd over exaggerating things to push false news. The Linux fanboys on this site are worse than fucking conservatives.
Dafuq? You want to murder somebody?
Yes officer this guy right here..
That's the one thing that gets me about the system is the USA. You have health insurance from your employer that can just fire you if you get sick. Doesn't make a lot of sense, even if they don't the insurance company might just decide not to pay out, and even if they do you have to pay hundreds of dollars in premiums.
I never once tried to silence you, I'm actually enjoying our discussion very much and think it's a very important one to have. All I'm trying to say is you're not alone in what you are fighting for and there are many many men on your side statistics back this up. But when you pick the bear you are actively working against the men trying to help. By not acknowledging the majority of men are on your side you are causing division, you are making things worse for yourself by not accepting we are trying to change things for the better for everyone.
Basically telling you to touch grass and stop contributing to the fire that's taking women's rights away by blaming the issue on the wrong thing. You are teaching young women they should be afraid of men, when statistics and reality say the opposite is true and we should be all working together for a common goal.
You are trying to silence me though, telling me I can only sit down and listen to obvious sexism. When what people should do when they experience sexism is speaking up and speak loud.
