To add to this, a new car in 1938 was $860 according to this, but essential information was left out. What that actually converted to in today's money $18,709.33 which is a lot less than what I'm paying today but only by about half. I don't disagree with wanting to get back to this point or better. But the picture seems to assume the reader already knows this?

On some apps like Sync, you can see the up vote percentage. I find that is more insightful than the combined number.

For example, I prefer to use a VPN instead of port forwarding. And I use SSH for anything I used to use an FTP for.

Some apps have up vote percentage indicated somewhere on posts. I was wondering if that's possible with Summit.

Is it possible to show actual votes rather than just scores?

Modern cell phones. It's crazy that I basically never need a computer now. My phone is so diversely useful. I spend more money on phones than computers now. It's also the best camera I've ever had! Phones are just so cool lol.

I have been looking all day for a FOSS keyboard that's under active development. It seems like more of not all of the ones I've seen recommended haven't been updated in over a year some three years. I don't mind if it's a long time between updates but I want to know bugs will be fixed eventually.

I like to keep backups of stuff like this in case I end up switching phones.

Isn't this just Google Earth but with less features?

[-] soullioness@lemmy.ca 29 points 1 year ago

It's possible to adjust it so you have three little buttons but you can also use gestures from those buttons. Not the sides. I used to use that setup for a long time but know I'm just using the regular gestures for now. By the way I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S20.

I have a Galaxy S20 on Android 13.

I think it's on the roadmap for Jerboa, but the first and only app so far to implement mod tools is Summit for Lemmy

I'm using large list with full hight images. If there was even just a little link icon in the corner that would help a lot.

As a wheelchair user I absolutely hate when people do this! I ended up forced to go around the back of the car which is way less safe.

Summit is the first app to add mod actions! Just released the update today. Play store link

I can't recommend Daylio enough! It's an app that's constantly getting new features. It's very customizable! You can make goals and custom moods which both help me a lot. You can also set reminders to do goals or just to make a daily entry. And all your data is stored locally unless you want to backup up to drive. Which is pretty secure. I think I also read that the backup is encrypted but I could be wrong. You can also manually backup and encrypt it then.

On Sync you can block whole instances. I found that very helpful.

Sync for lemmy let's you do this.

I've been on quite a few. But I mostly was on lemmy.world but their reliability is low. So I switched to Lemmy.ca who federated with basically everyone. Unlike World. I was on .ml for a while too but left for some reason. I'm also on Beehaw, I like it over there but it'll never be my home instance mostly because you can't create communities and they don't federate with most of the ones I like. Being on Lemmy.ca allows me to interact with World and Beehaw from one account which is really nice. They also have really high up time!

Anytime I volunteer for anything I message people directly. Seems more friendly and maybe more professional if you can say that about volunteering as a mod. It makes sense to me to DM.
