Proportional in the context you're using it doesn't mean what you think it does.

Proportionality is important in international law which is one of the reasons that the UN keeps calling out Israel for war crimes. Another cool fact in international law is that the threat to national security has to be imminent to strike into another country. They can't just bomb in retaliation and say they are preventing future attacks.

You're probably one of those people who says things like genocide when the population has doubled since 1950, or apartheid when Arabs serve in the IDF, sit as judges in the courts and hold seats in the parliament.

Big Zionist misinformation here, population numbers going up can not disqualify acts from being genocidal. Also black people participated in South African society in the same way but no one would say SA wasn't an apartheid state because a minority existed in the army or parliament.

75 years isn't that recent

So an organisation the US is a member of, contributes to financially and has a large amount of influence in has blocked the democratic election of a Latin American leader. Allowed the installment of a temporary leader that they like. The current US president at the time vocally backing the organisation mentioned above and regurgitating the misinformation pushed by that organisation.

The only involvement you saw was a couple of congress members calling for the US to investigate and calling for the US to promise not do what they have always done, starting now.

Did you even read the article?

Also nice of you to ignore the first half of my original comment.

What did I get wrong exactly?

You're putting words in my moyth, we both agree that a ceasefire is not a solution as the injustice will just continue.

We disagree on solution though, Israel is the occupier and will kill or displace 2 million Palestinians as soon as it can. We didn't let the Nazi state or fascist italy exist after the war. We now look back and consider Rhodesia and apartheid SA to be bad. The same applies to treatment of natives by most other colonising nations.

Israel is on the wrong side of history and like all fascist and colonising states it should be torn down.

Aww did someone tell you that running a genocidal apartheid state would be easy and have no risks?

What poor genocide apologists.

Have seen plenty of people counter the "evidence" and also the sound of the strike is identical to a strike on a residential building hit yesterday.

Never mind all the lead up by israel, telling people to leave hospitals, hitting other hospitals before this and then claiming responsibility before backtracking.

which is reliant on diesel fuel imported via Israel

It wouldn't be the current blockade by Israel that has caused the fuel shortage?

All those claimes are unverified I'll wait a couple of weeks before we get the actual truth from the Israeli state.

All evidence including eye witness accounts from Israeli survivors reported that resistance fighters treated them humanely.

All hostage deaths so far have been caused by Israeli bombing.

500 civilians were just blown up in a hospital yesterday by Israel, do you not think they deserve their human rights? Or do you not consider them civilians?

Do you even consider them to be human?

My point is if you don't support oppressed peoples because you don't feel comfortable with the types of violence they are lashing out with in the face of an existential threat, then your support was superficial.

Israeli settlements and military bases are installed by the government to keep control of an illegally conquered area.

If you are looking to liberate that land, stuff installed by the the offending government for military purposes is not civilian.

Israel is using its own citizens for it's benefit without regard for their safety.

Nah that's not how the world works.

It's closer to a school with 1000 students.

1 kid got 10000 eggs from their parents and refuses to share. Ther rest have 0-2 eggs each.

Maybe the students do chores but the pocket money they get only allows them to get 1 extra egg.

UBI is the school giving 2 eggs to every student. Now the egg distribution is more even since most students now have double the eggs or more but the richest students eggs only went up by a tiny percentage.

Is it really fair that one student has more eggs than they could possibly need and many kids have nothing just because they were born into a different family.

If you want to talk about really being fair you probably want to talk about proper wealth redistribution. If you took 5000 eggs off that one student and split it between everyone, every kid would be up 5 eggs. The kid with all the eggs would still have 5005 eggs which IMO is still more than any 1 kid should have to themselves.

I still wouldn't call any of this charity since 99.9% of people benefit from it.
