Hate to break it to you but violence has been the solution in every successful civil rights movement.

All your rights we're violently fought for and defended at some point in history.

Saying killing Nazis would have made the holocaust worse has to be one of the dumbest things I've read. How could it be any worse!?

Israel was responsible for the 7th, they created the situation and they moved troops from the border to torment the west bank. Israel failed it's people on that day.

You try the same old shit, I call out Israeli crimes and you say I'm endorsing terrorism. I can be critical of terrorist organisations at the same time as being critical of nation states.

Remember Israel just spent 7 million dollars on YouTube ads in the past 10 days, so i hope youre not pushing state propaganda for free, they can well afford to pay you too.

Ah yes grid electricity that is totally necessary for production of explosives and turning off doesn't disproportionately affect all the people in hospitals that require it to live.

It absolutely is collective punishment no matter the intent. The general public suffer.

Way to act like a propogada mouthpiece for a genocidal state.

The people in Palestine are unsafe because of the powerful fashist state trying to wipe them out.

Jews and Palestinians in Israel are safer because they have all the military power and funding from the American religious quacks.

It's not a fair comparison.

Edit: leaving the typo for context further down

It's not charity if everyone gets it, it's levelling the field and making society fairer.

For the people who need it most it could mean life or death or being able to stay in their home or not have to choose between heat or food.

For those in the middle it might be a nice excuse to treat yourself.

For the richest it would be such an absurdly tiny amount of money they might not be able to spend it.

All we should care about is making sure as many people in the first group get the support. For basic income payments the most effective way to do that is to give it to everyone. By the government giving you that money instead of doing what I talked about above, more people were helped.

Also has the added bonus of countering slightly the siphoning of wealth from the poor to the rich that's been happening the past while.

If you are watching any content from the web, it doesn't matter if you download it or "stream" it. The same data gets sent to your computer either way.

My response to your first comment implied that both downloading and streaming pirated content count as sailing the high seas since both methods mean downloading pirated content.

Some people may not see "streaming" torrents as the correct way to pirate things because you aren't seeding though.

But as you said public works are slow. If we build it now, people benefit from the change while we figure out how to improve beyond our current thinking/physical situation. If we wait everyone has to deal with the current issues potentially forever since we should always wait because there will always be a better idea further down the line. Yes it'll never be a perfect solution but its still objectively better than the status quo.

Also yes there my be unforseen issues caused by our implementation but there will be unforseen benefits as well. Is the glass half full or half empty....

There is also semi-related known benefits like in the case of major public works and investment in infrastructure, they are usually pretty good for the economy.

I understand your point that there is no such thing as a magic bullet solution. However you saying that in response to proposing well done cycle infrastructure as a solution is a perfect example of "perfection is the enemy of good".

Apex legends, overwatch 2, baldurs gate 3 and starfield are all gold on protondb. The only recent release I've found that's borked is cod: cold war and I'm sure that will be fixed eventually

Again we agree but for teminology. Anglo racism is a term I can't find online and again IMO should only be used on England and its colonies.

Take France for example should it and its colonies not use the term Franco racism.

Just say white racists or European racists or bigots as well works.

Again my original point was that Ukrainian racism towards Indian students in the country during the current war with Russia should not be reduced down to Anglo racism. This reduction is neither in your words, generating meaningful conversation or is a meaningful critique of the problem and IMO is wrong(though this is more a disagreement over words and I think we mostly agree).

I'm anti NATO, I understand how it works.

My original gripe is with your use of Anglo, Ukraine is not part of NATO, had much more influence and history with Russia than the US/UK, speaks Ukrainian and are ethnically Ukrainian.

You don't have to be Anglo to be racist. Europe, EU and NATO are all more complex that just saying anglosphere and it makes you look silly to reduce it down to white man bad.
