Do not forget Bill Clinton, he played a huge role. Essentially fulfilling republican dreams of deregulation by joining hands with them. It's when the Democratic party embraced corporate interests and neoliberalism. Clinton deregulated banking (see Glass-Steagall) which led to the financial crisis and banking/finance today.

Folks, to sum up this poster: Basically anyone protesting is irrational and stupid.

(I am getting right wingnut republican, maybe even Q anon, vibes)

I'm surprised it took this long. Cellphones should be placed in lockers or into classroom size cellphone holder/chargers that many schools use when they enter class if they are not asked to keep it in their lockers all day, save lunch.

Surprised by some of the comments, def not teachers but sound like folks who might die if you were to separate them from their phones.

Cellphones in classrooms are a problem and shouldn't be allowed whether that's 100% enforceable or not.

"South Africa is still the most unequal country in the world in terms of wealth distribution, according to the World Bank, with race a key factor."

Apartheid was a system of institutionalised racial segregation that existed in South Africa and South West Africa from 1948 to the early 1990s. Apartheid was characterised by an authoritarian political culture based on baasskap, which ensured that South Africa was dominated politically, socially, and economically by the nation's minority white population.

This is maddening to look at. Motion to install wall railing and leave that light on at all times.

Will be good to see him put in a cage.

Exactly, the numbers speak for themselves.

And there goes the paint them all anti-semitic if they disagree with anything, literally anything Israel does. Even Jewish people who are protesting Israel's actions must be anti-semitic.

Sorry to tell you, but the world cannot unsee the horrors in Gaza, no matter how hard you try to control the narrative.

Sorry, the usual dehumanization tactics that have worked to give cover for decades of crimes against Palestinians has fallen apart. Israel is its own worst enemy. You can try to cover and smother the horror in Gaza, you can try to suppress voices that reject your slaughter but now that only brings more attention to that very slaughter of civilians, women and children. What's been seen can't be unseen no matter how desperately you try to control the narrative.

Billionaires certainly despise unions, profiting by exploiting working people is fundamental to their business models. So Republicans of course loathe unions and thus degradation and control of public education, public school teachers has been a running long term goal.

Charter ~~factories~~ Schools are the foot in the door for free marketeers. Why respect teachers, hire more staff and better fund schools, create communities, when you can cut costs, treat kids and education itself as products, and send those savings into the pockets of just a few people.
