"I can't even hear it!"
I can't hype The Outer Wilds enough. It's such a fun exploration game that evolves into a big mystery.
I also just finished Ixion for the second time. It's a city builder but with stress. I enjoyed it a lot because it scratched my particular brain itch, but I can see it not being for everyone though. IXION soundtrack is a banger though.
I finally got fed up with Windows 11 when an update broke itself during an update. Apparently it was a pretty widespread issue. Defender got disabled because the update renamed several files.
I moved to PopOS and have been happy ever since. I couldn't believe that almost everything on my Lenovo Flex 5 just worked, including the touchscreen, pen, and 360 degree hinge. The only thing that doesn't work is the finger print sensor apparently due to lack of available drivers.
I really like how modern PopOS feels.
So back in the day you could hold home to pull up Google assistant and tell it to translate whatever was on your screen. No matter what app, browser, etc it just worked. I have no idea why they ever got rid of it. Now with the modern version of tap to translate text has to be highlight-able in order to be translated, which is a bone headed decision. It's like they never use the stuff they make.
And I decided to force my laptop to migrate to PopOS and I haven't looked back.
So you would think so, but no. I asked about a gate change and they said "The left from this gate, on time."
Somehow I missed a flight while I was at the gate. Mind you it was a small plane. I still don't understand it to this day. I was sitting at the gate waiting for them to announce boarding or watch the sign change. Nothing the whole time I was there.
Finally about 20 minutes after we were supposed to leave I get up and ask the desk staff and they tell me the plane left.
I didn't understand how this had happened and apparently neither did they. I didn't see anyone board the plane, there were no announcements or notifications.
For real. I moved over to Samsung a while back and I miss choppy choppy light light.
I was either experiencing this or something similar to it. I was waking in the night and seeing things in the dark that I was sure was there. Really terrible things. A person standing in the corner of my room, something crawling on the ceiling.
I did some reading on the subject and decided to try a sleep mask for a few days. The whole time I wore it I never experienced the visions again. So after that test I decided to get blackout curtains because it was the light bleeding in from a streetlamp that was contributing to the hallucinations.
I'll second ventroy. It actually just works.
I have a 256GB usb stick loaded with various install isos. It's great being able to just copy over the iso instead of having to image them every time I need one.
While this is a fantastic suggestion, and pi-hole is amazing, we shouldn't be in the position where this is required just to use a darn TV.
