Lemmy users are just showing their disapproval of the action. They have the right to do.
Would be great if they actually tried to understand the underlying issue instead of resorting to knee-jerk reactions.

One thing I disliked about reddit is how controversial topics tend to get highly upvoted knee-jerk reactions. They're often low effort and tend to get traction by virtue of being one of early replies to the topic.
It's not as bad here, but that's probably because of fewer users compared to the other site.
LSS: Red Flags by Tom Cardy (ft. Montaigne)
I vaguely remember seeing one of the artists' videos on reddit but kinda forgot about him. But last night I stumbled upon this song on a Youtube short and I especially liked the lady singer's voice. It got me looking for the original and what a pleasant surprise.
Kanina habang nag-hihintay sa Edsa inabot na ako ng sobrang lakas ng ulan. Pero parang ang init pa rin. I don't even remember the last time I wore a jacket due to the rain.
It's one of the reasons why I was hesitant trying out a non-federated site. There's a risk that it's just going to be another Voat. Tildes lang yata yung clear sa goal nila about creating a better culture than Reddit.
While I would love to have more people in here, I personally feel like it might be more important to establish and reinforce what kind of culture we want to foster here; now that we have a newer canvass. There are some aspects of reddit culture that has come to annoy me and it's grating how I'm seeing more of the same on some parts of Lemmy. I can't quite put it into words, but r/ph felt exhausting these past years.
To me it's how it focuses more on the UX - how content is presented and how you navigate and interact with it.
And without. The update already provides the option to just Remove ads.
Open the Chrome menu, go to Settings > Site Settings > All Sites. Check if you have Tiktok in there, click the site and you'll see a Clear & reset button. Clicking the button should remove any notifications from the site coming from Chrome.
It might not work since they're different platforms with different APIs. The only way an app might work on both platforms is if the app itself chooses to support both APIs.
That said, there's a level of interaction between the two since they both use ActivityPub. I.e. on Mastodon I can search for a particular Lemmy user and see their posts.
It may just be one whiny wanker today. But better play safe now than be involved with some corpo roping you in on an anti-piracy suit.
