Friendly reminder: The crescendo of the first six months of project 2025 is using civil unrest to deploy the US Military as a domestic police force. The accompanying suspension of habeus corpus is absolutely needed for them to turn up the heat even more.

They're laying the groundwork for defanging the judicial branch as we speak - it's their last obstacle.

From https://constitutioncenter.org/the-constitution/articles/article-i/clauses/763 (emphasis mine):

"The Suspension Clause protects liberty by protecting the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus. It provides that the federal government may not suspend this privilege except in extraordinary circumstances: when a rebellion or invasion occurs and the public safety requires it. "

To all the people worried about this: drumpf's attorneys wanted a 90 day delay. The DA is saying "I agree, let's give him a delay of 30 days"

It's actually a move to ensure this gets dealt with before November. Really encouraging tbh.

While Trump deserves our ire and some jail time, I'm more concerned with what his popularity says about our society.

He's a gift in some ways: he's shown the true colors of our neighbors to us. If he makes it to the oval office again, so much would have to have gone wrong in the belt-and-suspenders approach being used right now.

I trust that there's an end game to disqualifying him because that's the only way we can buy time while figuring out how to address the ugly xenophobic truth about the future in the US.

I STRONGLY recommend reading Susan Faludi's "stiffed" if you want a play book on where we're headed (spoiler: it's the 90s again, but worse because one of the lost boys could be POTUS again)

What about self defense when in a car?

What about self defense in a box?

Self defense from a fox?

This is the way. It baffles me how often I have to have 'the talk' with IT people. Don't be lazy, create a secure tunnel into the LAN!

Middle manager here: they want you to quit, and me to do your job plus the jobs of the other 3 who just left after you're gone.

If it works for OPEC, why wouldn't it work for others? Regulation of corporations is a no-brainer because they're sociopathic in nature.

If corporations really have personhood, why can't they go to jail for crimes against the community?

Fuck elon musk for not allowing Ukraine to dismantle those war machines providing cover for this type of diabolical behavior to continue.
