I'm glad to see that we're not all addicts here

I have spent the past 3 years complaining about settling for Biden, but he's actually done a ton for the country in his short time. The media reports none of it. I still think voting for a non-dictator is worth the sacrifice for a 3rd party voter, which was me in 2020. The GOP has made their threats clear.

That's a good point that I hadn't considered. I'm not sure how that would go over legally in the US. They could gather very similar information by looking at records from relatives who have used the same insurance company, even just financial records, but that is monitored closely by the government. I wonder if we'll be seeing any lawsuits in the near future.

I use KDE plasma because I'm new to Linux but also want something minimal system-wise. I love the programs and the interface. Maybe my opinion would be different if I spent more time with other DE's or used it as my daily driver, but I'm sold on it now.

GNOME is definitely more user-friendly for someone who is moving over from Windows/Mac. I wouldn't recommend KDE to someone who is just going to stick to using one-click apps.

You can't even buy MP3s anymore?? I haven't paid for a digital download since before smart phones. I would be more concerned about downloading digital content from a website that charges for it rather than pirating tbh. Where did the seller get it from in the first place??

That's not a bad black-market business model, actually....

Sounds like a win for Tesla and SpaceX employees.

What's the easiest way to find communities across different instances? If I could figure that out, I would just forget about reddit.

I'm pretty sure only the director's cut has the excerpts from the book. It still takes at least two watches and some pausing.

Same. It's a huge learning curve for me to use any of these with all the swiping.

YWBTA

I think lower quality, true posts would be much more valuable to L. We don't come here to read creative writing. I'd much rather read a post about a stupid, passive aggressive dispute between two neighbors where OP can get real advice about their real situation rather than read rage bait.

They might become interested once they have a platform that targets them. I know it's a little different from people who jumped on to MySpace or early Facebook because we started with text posts, not really pictures. It's still true that younger people love to post their thoughts or opinions thinking that others care as much as they do.

It could also be a good tool for "celebrities" to directly interact with their followers. Instagram's interface isn't really set up for that.

I have a cheap bidet that I got on Amazon for maybe $30. I love it. It gets you way cleaner compared to just wiping because the water can flush you out a bit. The downside is that you have to dry yourself off (unless you get a drying model) and there's more cleaning involved because of the bidet and the powerwashed poop particles that don't fall straight down into the bowl.

Getting a bidet + squatty potty changed my life, especially as someone with a very poor and inconsistent diet.
