Torrents are registered. Only people who can access the private website get access to the torrent. It’s much harder for the bottom barrel legal teams that just sit on them recording IPs, like they do on public ones.

They can certainly get into a private tracker but will be found before long. This also depends on how the private tracker is run and by whom.

Use a VPN when doing illegal shit. Don't leave to a shady website.

I really wish government would crack down on this. Every regulatory entity should be on this because it’s nearly impossible to actually get your data deleted. Let alone even send a request without hurdle or hassle.

And everyone is like ya no this is all fine privacy buy iPhone… *flips water bottle

It’s about the soul. Vampires don’t cast reflections because they are soulless. Cameras have been criticized for stealing peoples souls. Ergo, a camera would suffer the same fate as the mirror: no soul to capture or reflect.

But I mean it’s just made up lore. That’s admittedly stretched thin.

macOS has no games. Apple: “here’s gaming mode!”

/s

There is actually so much in Sonoma and tied to its release. Apple’s GPTK makes 90% of PC games playable. Sonoma also brings a slew of improvements to general rendering.

Musk is unplugging servers with customer data and then transporting them in a van. He 100% has zero interest in proper procedure. Look at the QA of Tesla ffs.

Musk is a petulant child. There’s no chip. It’s an abandoned project that killed a bunch of monkeys for a bit of press.

I mean:

Neuralink also faces an investigation from the US Department of Transportation over allegations it illegally transported contaminated devices that were removed from monkeys’ brains.

Informed or not, they aren’t wrong. If there is an iota that something can be misused, it will be. Human nature. AI will be used against everyone. It’s potentially for good is equally as strong as its potential for evil.

But imagine this. You get laid off. At that moment, bots are contacting your bank, LinkedIn, and most of the financial lenders about the incident. Your credit is flagged as your income has dropped significantly. Your bank seizes the opportunity and jacks up your mortgage rates. Lenders are also making use of the opportunity to seize back their merchandise as you’ll likely not be able to make payments and they know it.

Just one likely incident when big brother knows all and can connect the dots using raw compute power.

Having every little secret parcelled over the internet because we live in the digital age is not something humanity needs.

I’m actually stunned that even here, among the tech nerds, you all still don’t realize how much digital espionage is being done on the daily. AI will only serve to help those in power grow bigger.

Naw. This is just FUD. I mean it’s coming from Accenture ffs.

Keep calm and keep computing.

100% this. We literally lost our best and brightest and the end of the pandemic. When I bailed it was B and C grade. Made the last few months very difficult.

It was absolutely brutal!
