firefox for most things. Chrome for my banking. The banking app refuses to run on my unrooted phone, because I have apps from f-droid installed, and I have a custom keybooard. And their site only works in chrome. Fuck hsbc

http, https, ssh, ntp, ftp. These are all algorithms some of us use every day. Bitcoin is a protocol, true, but it's not a good one. And it's one that most people have not used, and don't intend to

It has a lot of forks? that is neither here nor there. it's a tech buzzword. of course there are going to be a lot of forks. Do any of them actually go anywhere though? not really

system state is not the same as a save file. System state is the cpu registers, the process' entire memory space (because you don't know what the game might do at any point) gpu context, etc.

edit: example: the save file for older games was measured in bytes. System state is much larger han that. It contains everything not just what the developer decided to allow you to save.

neither do divers use "self contained OOnderwater breathing apparatus", usually written as SCUBA.

Nor do we say jPHeg files.

Nor "north AYYtlantic treaty OHHrganization"

or "light AYYmplification by stimulated emnssion of radiation"

it has a full tank of gas. It can deliver itself

or you could just not do that, and keep control of your own data. Why the hell would I want you to have a vote on whether I can delete my private data, which for some unfathomable reason, someone decided everyone should have a copy of?

why the hell is everyone so focused on the fetus' rights when it was the mother's rights that were denied?

Or is everyone assuming the mother just didn't have any rights?

to achieve significantly better density in the fuel tank, it is better to pre-react your hydrogen with oxygen. That way you can store your fuel as a liquid at room temperature, instead of a gas.

or in other words, just attach a water balloon to it

pretty much everyone is saying pipewire is the future, because it does the job really well.

A lot of people say wayland is the future because it does the job better.

I don't get the resistance to systemd. It does the job well, and it does it better than most old systems. It does a lot of things, but it's because those are things that need to be done.

There will always be complainers about everything
