Wish the Guardian would have looked into this at all, researched a bit to see if the data backs this up. I couldn't find much conclusive evidence of a significant impact. For example,

Why are people using a site named after the place they purposefully left with just one letter changed?
Believable as in imitates the writing style, sure, but what's the point if it's factually incorrect?
