yup this is a really good reason to never ever buy or support Nintendo ever again. Filthy rotten company.

the point is we shouldn't be having to do this extra work. MS is one shit misleading and deceptive crappy turd of a company and ll its directors and staff need to be thrown into prison as fucking criminals. no alternative.

a little bit like that for me. Early on, I always loved pvp. The question was which mmorpg would be worthwhile to me to invest the thousands of hours to grind a character. I didn't want to end up grinding up and hating the game, which would be a huge waste of time. Studying all the candidates, I realised I wanted some key elements which would assure enjoyability:

  1. It had to have a commitment to RvR open team pvp;
  2. The devs had to show that commitment, preferably playing the game themselves regularly;
  3. It had to have combat abilities like my favourtie pvp game, NWN from 2002, which meant tab targeting; and
  4. The game had to prioritise gameplay and fun pvp balance, over gfx.

Only after finding an mmo meeting all the the above, did I slowly play the game and over time, realised that a solid RvR open pvp game actually taught a player about real life and its challenges. How to win, how to lose, how to have the right attitude to challenges, how to endure tough times, succeed during good times, what it meant to defeat an opponent, what it meant to die in battle, and so on. Hence, I have been playing Champions of Regnum for more than a decade, and still love the game.

Overwatch and all these games being brought to the platform are CRAP. Yuck. Bloated and revolting. So much gfx power and hdd capacity consumed for? CRAP. Hugely inefficient for entertainment dollar.

there is nothing about being a troll if legitimate concerns are being raised. these concerns need to be raised now. it's good helldiver pointed some replies, but im guessing they will not be complete enough. people need to stop thinking the current state of information disclosure is enough. it isn't enough. look at the way crypto is disclosed. 50% of users have no clue wtf is going on. info needs to be disclosed in clear and concise and non-technobabble ways. github is horrible. it's full of geekspeak. we need to do better if we are to save humanity. we cannot wait till 500 years to solve hyperspace. we need to solve it now. that is why this is not being a troll. because we need to push ourselves. harder, faster, better than ever! look at fusion power. should have been solved 10 0 years ago. wtf is humanity doing? just scamming and cheating their way around. geezus. no wonder alien civs are not interested in talking to us. get real.

what is activitypub?

this is why all these concepts fediverse, kbin, lemmy, activitypub etc etc needs to be publicly disclosed in an internationally accessible wiki so that no single entity can ever take control. the fact there is no public and clear disclosure means people out there are CONTROLLING these technologies and have BAD INTENTIONS. Disclose them NOW.

yup we need more explanations like this. What we don't want is knowledge being privately held and people being told "oh dont worry it all works just accept it". That's a recipe for alienation and disaster.

(im curious:
what is a "fediverse"
what is a "magazine"
exactly where is the info stored in the world
exactly who has control of which info)

Is there a diagrammatic wiki where all this is explained? Otherwise it will be too easy for nefarious, evil, greedy, cruel, powermonger types to later on capture the whole of kbin or lemmy or whatever for themselves, and nobody will know what is going on until it is too later. sadly, it is already happening, if you read some of the replies. ugh. cliquey powermonger types..

the worst is where lemmy etc becomes like crypto - nobody knows what the fuck is going on except the very few, who all use big power words to pretend they are smart and hide functionality from everyone. that then produces fascist dictatorships, more hitler-type personalities will arise, then WW3.

but now all of us must each create 10 new accounts and spam reddit to death. it is the only way to make sure china does not profit from our hard work. It may take years, but soon the corpus of knowledge that is reddit shall grow out of date and poisoned. Make sure to never make that mistake again.

For years, I have already done God's work, hundreds of spam accounts, millions of silly and ridiculous comments. Yes, when you see ChatGPT go nuts, that's hardworking commenters like me.
