Can someone please explain the joke?
Just a bit of absurdism. Modern-day leftists often fight over the legacy of Marx, who was hugely influential; the joke here is that "IF MARX WAS HERE TODAY HE'D-" and instead of "be 'x' ideology" it's "Enjoy a well-regarded classic game"

I have never heard this saying before, what the fuck could a cigar be? Did someone think it was a worm? a stick? a bomb??
It's a quote often attributed to Sigmund Freud. I don't believe he ever actually said it though.
