It's fun. Similar to a joke, it doesn't need to be fully factual to get a laugh. I'd also like to think that if our generation lives to be grans, it's going to become quite realistic.

Idk man... for me, these fake texts are far from funny. The same goes for staged youtube/tiktok videos. It's so much more enjoyable/funny with the subject matter is authentic.

It could be a minority of us that doesn't like this sort of humor. Glad you get enjoyment out of it though. I just wish there was a way to filter this stuff out because I couldn't care less.

but you won't see me commenting "FAKE" either. I just keep scrolling

it's not meant to be real it's meant to be funny. a grandma calling someone a fucking weeb is pretty shocking and therein lies the humor

It's just the format of the joke. I don't think there's any expectation you should believe it and it's not even necessary for the joke.
