Fuck big email providers. All my homies use proton mail ๐
We always have to remember that e-mail is a decentralized protocol. If so many people use one e-mail provider then e-mail will be less of a decentralized protocol and can be monopolised. I will hate it.
Or Tuta (formerly Tutanota) with my own domain. It's neither that hard to set up nor expensive.
Even proton has that feature for custom domain if paid for premium

Already is. I've even met a couple sites that only accepted GMail and Outlook addresses for sign-ups. And good luck making sure you don't end up in spam with something else.
Out of interest, how does the spam find a self hosted email? If i, for example, only submitted it one two sites where it was never leaked, and i never publicly posted it?
I mean that YOUR emails would possibly end up in spam of say GMail users.
