the main thing about buying things from nist though (as pointed out to him in the comments) is that the materials are guaranteed to be pure. not edible. that flour could have been literal years out of date.

Did you see that cookie though? Did you watch that video? He didn’t even try. Even if you gave me expired ingredients I could come out with something remotely passable and not that brick of a cookie he ended up with
