The North sea VS The Mediterranean sea I have always wondered which one of these seas have the more unfavorable climate conditions, and hard to work at.

I'd put good money on the north sea being more unfavorable to work on. It's certainly less predictable and subject to worse weather conditions for sailing.

And it's cold as hell, too.

Yes, you are right. Especially when you're offshore for months.
