A place to share screenshots of Microblog posts, whether from Mastodon, tumblr, ~~Twitter~~ X, KBin, Threads or elsewhere.
Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.
RULES:
- Your post must be a screen capture of a microblog-type post that includes the UI of the site it came from, preferably also including the avatar and username of the original poster. Including relevant comments made to the original post is encouraged.
- Your post, included comments, or your title/comment should include some kind of commentary or remark on the subject of the screen capture. Your title must include at least one word relevant to your post.
- You are encouraged to provide a link back to the source of your screen capture in the body of your post.
- Current politics and news are allowed, but discouraged. There MUST be some kind of human commentary/reaction included (either by the original poster or you). Just news articles or headlines will be deleted.
- Doctored posts/images and AI are allowed, but discouraged. You MUST indicate this in your post (even if you didn't originally know). If a post is found to be fabricated or edited in any way and it is not properly labeled, it will be deleted.
- Be nice. Take political debates to the appropriate communities. Take personal disagreements to private messages.
- No advertising, brand promotion, or guerrilla marketing.

This looks like an SNL sketch. People keep expressing sympathy for the onion writers, but really, how does one even parody this? Just shot for shot, word for word something a satirist would come up with.

Heck, no need to go back 50 years. If Biden did it there'd be backlash. Trump was right about being able to shoot someone and not losing supporters.
I remember they were ready to impeach Obama for wearing a tan suit.

It did, but he got the VP nom anyway. And he went on to fundamentally reshape the Republican Party over the next twenty five years.
Honestly, every time I see an SNL skit recently that mimics one of the latest events I keep saying this is sad because as crazy as they get, I feel like the real event was so much crazier. The skits just make me sad because I'm just being reminded of how fucked we are.
This is basically what killed South Park in 2016. Trump became president and you can't even parody that, because You can't think of anything more absurd. Except maybe electing him for a second time.
Reporting trump doing nice things for liberals is how they should approach it. IMO.
Ohh, I kept waiting for something funny to happen, but now I get it - it won't.
