Star Trek is already not similar to itself. I've seen so many people say that it's similar to the Orville for example and I can't see how people manage to agree if they ever watched Star Trek.
In other words, the license is too broad to be similar to anything, as it's not monolithic at all.
You don't think major thematic elements of The Orville match Star Trek? Really? You see nothing similar?
