I definitely don't understand how these tariffs work, but couldn't the US' trade partners just.. import from China and sell to the US at a 10% markup?
that's current working plan, allegedly
IIRC it's based on country of origin so not really.
Import all the parts from China, slap em together. Now it's made in whatever other country.
gotta hire a whole factory to assemble the part into the box
