I really wish they'd let you replay non-current expeditions on demand. The timed content thing is really the only aspect of this game that gets on my nerves.
They could pull some cover story like you're doing it in a VR simulation or something, maybe via Nada's otherwise largely purposeless (outside of very specific plot encounters) terminal in the back of the Space Anomaly.
I agree. There are unofficial ways to do these replays, and I think this should be legitimized.
However, part of the fun of the expeditions is that everyone is flocking to the same area at the same time. So it makes that area of space feel vibrant for that short period. This is something that expedition replays cannot really replicate. You'd just see a bunch of abandoned bases from people that have gone before you -- but barely any people. So I can see this as the main drawback.
