Democrats who say this shit make me sick.

It doesn't occur to them that, maybe, we shouldn't have second class jobs for second class citizens and that it's horrible we use desperate migrants to do the jobs we don't want to do. It doesn't have to be this way.

Pay people enough and they'll pick cotton. Can't do that, though, so we'll just traffic desperate refugees over the border (refugees created by US foreign policy!) to do it instead.

You’re describing the Democratic Party’s platform. Join a real leftist party, like the PSL, and you won’t keep finding yourself shocked to hear members of a rightwing party say more rightwing things.

I'm not shocked. Just disgusted.

People don't pick cotton anymore in the first place. Machines do it now and have been for over 50 years.

Kind of shows how out of touch she is. You'd think she'd bother to know even one thing about the point she's trying to make.

I mean, her point was that black people aren't going to go back to being slaves, so using cotton does make sense, but I would have been more direct instead of using an euphemism.

Sure, and it also implies that immigrants are the replacement slaves.

Which brings us back to my point, which is that immigrants shouldn't be second class workers that we use as the new slaves.

Her point was it’s black people’s turn to be masters. There should be no masters, and no slaves, period.
