teamblind.com behavior

I think the meme originated from there

Oh, that makes more sense. Wasn’t aware of their existence.

After googling what teamblind is, it sounds like a good thing. I wish I’d had an anonymous forum for the last place I worked lol.

Meh, good in theory but because the demographics are 90% of the highest earning coders, and 10% salespeople, highest earning product managers, and managers, the users are terrible

It's literally like 4chan but for employed people with a ton of money. Lots of flexing wealth/income, classism, arrogance, racism, transphobia, etc. etc.

Ah, it is kind of filtering for the worst parts of online people. But I think the “in theory” part is nice. A version of it for service economy/retail workers would probably be cool though.

It's good because you can use it to cut through the corporate bullshit, it's bad because the people most active in it are prestige and money obsessed freaks. If you make a post without stating how much money you make 90% of your replies will be about that.

On the other hand it's saved me from multiple very very bad decisions, so it's good in that sense. It would be cool if it was more generalized and wasn't just for programmers/salespeople/project managers/quants.
