Yeah. I forget places even have legal weed sometimes it's genuinely surreal, because everyone smokes it anyway like it doesn't make any difference. I stick to nicotine though, weed just makes me paranoid and hungry. Plus there are way better drugs like acid.
Only if you can verify the source. I've never heard of someone's life being ruind because of weed other than legally.
Acid can fry your brain with a single dose.
Trotting out acid as better than weed is a choice, not a great one though.

Like all drugs, if abused, classical psychedelics can be harmful.
Some people have counterindications to using LSD and all psychoactive substances (including THC) but especially HT2A activating ones like Psilocybin, 2-CB, MDMA, LSD and all classical psychedelics if they suffer from schizophrenia or have a family history of suffering from schizophrenia which is an indication they may at some point start suffering from schizophrenia.
Like all other psychoactives if you have severe mental problems like bipolar etc don't take it.
On the other hand if you don't have those counterindications, HT2A classical psychedelics have actual tangible benefits for many , not least of which is increased brain elasticity and cognitive flexibility, especially when taken safely and in low dosages.
Of course it's important to mention that NBOMe and other substitutes on DNMs exist, so always test your shit. At least in the UK though, getting hit with an nbomb is not nearly as common as fake weed or weed hosed down with JWH family analogues and assorted FUBINACA/PINACA as well as the 'Zenes in everything from Benzos to Opioids to weed.
You can actually take all those drugs safely (same as NBOMe) but you need to be extremely careful with dosages as they can actually be harmful. Same as fentanyl for instance.
THC makes people lazy and fat and as such I consider it closer to alcohol in terms of actual value, even if it has self-reported benefits in a few studies because the capitalists realized how much money they can make on it.
Yes, CBD has many positive health effects from those who suffer with pain, but based on the insane 99% THC contents in weed these days I don't think that's what most people are after.
Furthermore while yes people have been smoking weed for centuries, they have also done that with opioids, and the weed of today is absolutely nothing like actual weed because it's been artificially bred to absurd THC contents.
If you have to pay attention and dose correctly (or possibly die), it is not safer or better than weed.
Tell that to the people who took brown acid.
Seriously, I've personally met people who did fry their brain in LSD.
Never found a permanent burnout who lost the ability to tue thier shoes from the usage of weed.
