The idiocy of Trump isn't just good for Canada
Australia is having their federal election in a few days
The shitbag leader of the conservative party (ironically named the Liberals) who until fairly recently had a horrifyingly good chance to win the election (because there are lot of stupid, bigoted people in Australia still) aligned himself with Trump
It cost him hugely. Sure, he shored up his base, but they were always going to vote for bigots anyway, and with the Australian voting system, their votes would have filtered their way to him.
What he did was to make people realise that there was a chance that the US bullshit that has already done so much harm here would get worse
Peter Dutton has gone from being called "Spud", or "Herr Kipfler" and other such names to "Temu Trump", and it's glorious
Will be interesting to watch what happens in Australia. Hopefully follows the path of Canada.
The odds are terrible for the conservatives
It's working out wonderfully
Glad for Australia coming to its senses.
