AFAIK, VPNs are illegal in China. Maybe has something to do with that.
Why would that have anything to do with reddit? They're hosted in the US and banned in China.
Maybe they're looking to undo that second part to tap that sweet sweet market.
Seems like long odds, but doesn't Tencent own a good chunk of their stock?
